...Another [wo]man's treasure

We like to hunt for treasures in all shapes and sizes, and all sorts of places. We frequently hunt at DI& savers, but some of the very best things can only be found at estate and moving sales, flea markets, and good antique stores.

Now there are some things that, in my opinion, are just better to buy new: bed sheets, makeup, lingerie, hairbrushes, medicine...you get the idea. (you'd be surprised what people will sell...)

Anyway, here are two of my favorite finds from last weekend!! 

 I love that little suitcase! I just need to find the right place for it now! 

And that trunk! Isn't it wonderful?! This is our new coffee table, thank you very much. (It's going to need a little touch up and a new paint job though!) The inside was  planked with cedar before we got it, and it holds our blankets wonderfully!

My Girlfriend's Boyfriend

Andrew and I saw Mike Birbiglia's stand-up show at Kingsbury Hall. It was hilarious!

It was the first live comedy show I've attended, and pretty great at that. 

*You know how sometimes the very best moments are when the comedian gets caught off guard and accidentally laughs at their own jokes?*

Little Liam

On January 11th Paul & Kelsi welcomed sweet little 

Liam Bennett Nevin

7 lb 14 oz & 22 inches long!

He's so precious, and pretty sweet snuggle bug. We love him lots!

And as Laura says "Heaven is a little Nevin!" 

Birthday Boy

Winter in Odessa?!

While in Odessa I was so happy to see so many of my dear old friends! No matter how long I spend though, it never seems to be long enough... 

I finally got to meet Callie's sweet baby, Reece. She is just about the happiest little girl! And look at those blue eyes! 

So, we had lots of good Mexican food (of course), visited all the local thrift shops, and enjoyed the snow!

That is right, snow. It was pretty amazing (for Odessa, Texas that is).

And these last two were taken on Monday!  

Anyway, it was a really great trip! 

Ben's Wedding

Andrew and I took some time off work and flew down to Odessa for my friend's wedding. 

It was a beautiful ceremony. 

Ben and JoVanna are very cute together and I wish them best! 

This was Ben's groom's cake. Pretty sweet, right?!

And of course we had fun at the photo booth!

I can't believe that red-headed benny-bear is married! :)
