Finals Finals Finals!

It's the last week of the semester, which means that my extra time is/should be spent studying & preparing for finals. This semester half of my finals have been projects, and the other half have been tests. I have a test today, and one paper to turn in. After today I will only have one more test to take! So far I have felt pretty confident in my grades for all my classes. Hopefully this semester's GPA will be high and help to bring up my overall GPA!! This was a good semester! I had good teachers and great classes. School seems to get better and better the more I have a chance to choose the classes I really want to take (as opposed to the BYU general courses...ugh!).

I'm getting so excited for Christmas! Also, now that Andrew isn't working out of town, he is coming to Texas with me! I can't wait to go to Corpus Christi and see all of my lovely family members! Especially Ari! (no offense Allison, Kathleen, Mommy, or Daddy, or whoever reads this) I just can't wait to see how much he has grown since I left him in August! He and Lincoln just seem to be growing out of control! I cannot believe they are both almost two years old! And I'm totally excited to see the two together! Perhaps now they are both old enough to want to play with eachother! cute!

Well, I suppose I have put off taking this test long enough....

Am I still in Utah?

So up until yesterday it had not snowed at all here in Provo!! This is such a shock because last year it practically snowed year round! Anyway, yesterday I walk out of my 10am class to gentle drizzling snow! The strange part about this was that I was actually excited to see the snow. I was giddy, even! It all the sudden seemed to become more Christmasy! Although, the snow didn't fall for very long, or stick to the ground, it was wonderful! I then awoke this morning hoping that by chance it had snowed all night and covered the ground and everything else with white fluffiness! (But it hadn't...) Anyway, this winter season is baffling to me for two reasons:

1. It hasn't REALLY snowed here yet

2. I can't wait for it to snow!

(snowmen, sledding, and hot chocolate - OH MY!)

Root Beer on tap, anyone?

A Simple How-To of our new twist-on tap
It will change the way you drink bottled coke forever!

Step 1: Andrew reads the instructions of our new purchase: The tap that will supposedly keep your bottled drinks from going flat!

Step 2: Assemble as said in directions, then pour into glasses - So far, so good!

Step 3: Enjoy the sweet taste of your ever-frothy soda!
(For best results serve in chilled mug!)

Turkey Day!

This year Kathleen and I went to Shawn's for Thanksgiving. Boy Shawn's parents came over and we had a wonderful turkey feast! Andrew also showed up, which was a surprise to us all, a very pleasant, one at that! We went shopping at Midnight on Thursday - we figure it's easier to stay up later rather than get up earlier! Anyway, it was a short break but so much fun. We also put up all Shawn's Christmas decorations! - "Tis the Season!"

My Christmas Wish List

Printer iPod New cell phone: My screen is cracked - Thanks to Ari! :)
Friends: I only need seasons 1,2,4,6, and 10 to complete the series!!
I know...this is kinda a lame list. I just don't know what I want this year, which is strange.

The Turkey

Andrew and I cooked a turkey for my work party! It turned out a little dry, but definitely delicious. The only aid we had at our disposal were the useless instructions on the turkey bag, and a YouTube video! I must say, for first-timers, we did a pretty professional job! We even finished it off with ribbon to hold the turkey legs together (for modesty and presentation).

EEK!!!

I'm starting to realize that this semester is almost over and I have a lot of work I need to do! I have papers, and projects, and busy work assignments (which get old after 8 consecutive weeks)! Now, not all of these assignments are due at once but they are all pretty big deals, counting for a high percentages of my grades, and demanding lots of time! I think I'm just now starting to feel the stress of this semester's workload...

October 31st

Of course I had to work on Halloween, but with this group, how could you not have fun sitting in the box office for 4 hours?!

I spent my actual Halloween night trick-or-treating with Lincoln the monkey, who already fully understands the concept asking for free 'yum yums.'

Afterward, I went to a party with Kathleen (or shall I say, "Pippie") and a few of her friends.

"Everyone we know is just GIVING away candy?! I've got to be a part of this!I'll do anything....I can wear that!!" - Jerry Seinfeld, anyone?

Carolyn and Dan's Party

Andrew's sister hosted a wonderfully spooky Halloween party. We were graciously invited and had so much fun. Everyone had great costumes, and here's proof:
Cat in the Hat characters

"I don't think we're in Kansas anymore."

Who knew that Colonel Mustard and Ms. Peacock were in on it together all along?

*Oh, and I may have stolen a few pictures! Thank you Jessica & Carolyn!*

Tribute to Ari

Shawn and I found these costumes on our adventure of finding our real Halloween costumes! ... Maybe next year....

Preparing for Halloween

I went to Salt Lake to play with one of my favorite nephews, see my sister, and gather materials for this year's Halloween costume! Lincoln is so advanced in pumpkin naming; the big one is "Daddy," the middle-sized is "Momma," and the smallest pumpkin is "Baby." Oh, and he is also a believer in multi-funtional pumpkins: not just pumpkins, but a drum set too!

Witch's Night Out!

Shawn, Kathleen, and I went to Gardener's village last Friday for Witch's Night out. Everyone was dressed head-to-toe in witch costumes! There was dancing, food and, shopping! As Kathleen already mentioned in her blog, we plan to dress as the Sanderson sisters from Hocus Pocus next year!!

"Take chances, make mistakes, get messy!"

I'm so excited for this year's Halloween festivities! Tonight I'm going out with Shawn and Kathleen to Gardener's Village for "Witches Night Out!" It should be so much fun...expect pictures from it soon! Also, I have finally figured out what to be for Halloween. Are you ready? .... MISS FRIZZLE from The Magic School Bus! I figure this way I can incorporate my curly hair into the costume as well! Snaps for Halloween!

Oh, here is some more recent exciting news about my life:

1. I bought my first car! It's a Jeep Cherokee (again, I will post pictures sometime soon)

2. I have my new apartment! I am finally moved in and settled. We shall see what the future brings.

3. I sold my last apartment's contract, which means I only have to make one rent payment on November 1st - as it should be.

4. I have my plane tickets to Texas for Christmas! It's official: I will be spending Christmas in Corpus Christi and New Years in Odessa....how thrilling!

Craigslist Junkie

So the past few day I feel that I have been absolutely obsessed with Craigslist. There is a pretty substantial reason though: I have been searching for a new apartment and car!!! Yay! But nonetheless, my mind has been consumed with the possibilities of buying all kinds of new stuff off Craig's! I found the tenth season of Friends for only $15 and even free kittens (I didn't get one, unfortunately)! They have anything from arts & craft supplies to baby formula for sale! If this doesn't intrigue you...I don't know what else to say!!

Sego Fest

Last weekend was the Sego Fest, Provo's 3rd annual local music festival! I went for a little bit on Friday and Saturday night. Because they are all local artists, the bands are sometimes hit or miss, you know? But overall the nights were filled with good music and fun company! So, Trevor wasn't able to come this year (since he is in AUSTRIA), therefore I'm posting a picture of Paige, Trevor, and me from last year's Sego Fest as well.

KITTENS!!

If I could get anything I wanted, I would want a kitten! They are precious! I want one, preferably one of these!

Lincoln!!

Lincoln and Shawn came to visit last Saturday and I just can't stand how cute he is! He saw a picture of himself and said "baby!" So cute! We also found Lincoln's Halloween outfit for this year!

Lincoln is SOO big now!

Lincoln is growing up so fast. He just keeps getting cuter and cuter! I can't stand it! He LOVES blowing bubbles! He can even blow them himself! He came over and visited my roommates and me last Saturday, and we went on a walk and fed the ducks! He wanted so badly to touch the ducks so he would chase them. (even the big white goose!) He also likes to eat the bread himself as much as he likes to feed the ducks with it! I love him!

IKEA Trip with Trevor

Trevor took me to IKEA where we push ourselves down the over-sized isles of the warehouse! It was so much fun!
