Texas!

Just a few things I did while visiting Texas:
1. Ate a LOT of Mexican food! (it was much needed)

2. Visited friends at their work places

3. Stayed up late talking with friends about not life, love, religion, and texting while driving.
(more on that some other time.)

4. Went to the Young Women's dessert auction at church!
5. Worked out at Curves with my Mommy!

6. Learned more about my late Granny & Papa, and more about my family's genealogy, in general, from my Daddy.

7. Lived with Holly in her cute grown-up apartment!

8. Went Frisbee Golfing with Holly's friend, Logan while she was at work.

9. Hot-tubbed & learned that cold hands are a result of stress, and the need for relaxation. Thank you, Holly.

10. Ate the best cupcake in the nation (according to Ellen Degeneres, whom I fully trust) at Society Bakery.

11. Went to school with my aunt. She teaches theater at an Arts Magnet High School in Dallas, Texas, so I got to sit in on her beginning playwrighting class!

12. Visited with Randy, Elly, David & Elana. We should really see them more often...

13. Watched a sailboat race (kinda)

14. Hugged & spent not nearly enough time with most all of my best friends!

 {Andrea, Travis, and me}
{Candace!}
 {Nikki & Matt}

 {Holly!}

*and there were many more friends visited that are not pictured.
this trip was a lame picture-taking trip for me.*

Don't be mad...

I know, I have pretty much fallen off the face of the Earth lately. For that I am sorry. I have been spending countless hours trying to bring this whole wedding together.

Whew! I had no idea what I was getting myself into, with this whole "planning a wedding" thing! My friend Holly is starting her own Wedding Planning business and I do NOT know how she does it! I would not enjoy meeting with cranky brides (such as myself) and rushing to create perfect weddings, over and over again. Bless you, Holly.

The nice thing is that the closer and closer the wedding comes, the shorter and shorter my To-do lists become. This is a great feeling.

Another great feeling: crossing things off you list. Completing a task, no matter how small, feels ten times better when you write it down and then cross it off as finished! Ahh. Success.

But just for clarification:
I AM SO EXITED TO GET MARRIED TO ANDREW ON SATURDAY!

Cha..cha..changes

Everything in my school/work life is completely up in the air! I have NO idea how things are going to happen - which is scary. I'm going to map out my options, for my benefit, and for you because I'm just sure you care!

1. Go to New York for a super awesome summer internship (that I haven't been offered, yet). Then take Fall and Winter classes at BYU, and graduate in April, as I have planned for the past few years.

2. Go to Dallas/Nashville for an internship for the Summertime. And proceed with school as planned - graduating in April.

3. Stay in Provo for the Summer. Take classes during the Spring, Summer, & Fall semesters, then go to New York for an internship during Winter semester. Still graduating in April, as previously planned.

4. Stay in Provo for the Summer, take classes during Spring, Summer & Fall semesters and graduate in December! Then later go to New York to live, work and play!

Problems:
*All of my plans are a little scary to me in different ways.
*Plan #4 would mean I would have to suddenly 'grow up.'
*Plan #4 would also mean that I would have to find a new job, because my schedule does not fit with the work schedule at the ticket office...not that getting a new job would be a bad idea...I could find a new job with better pay...if I could find a new job.
*I hate making decisions.
*I have to make a decision.

What to do?!

So, I'm starting to realize that I'm getting to the end of my undergraduate college years! Now, this has been a long time coming, but it just seems that I don't have enough time to finish everything in time. First of all, this upcoming Summer is the last of my Summers before I become a graduated adult working in the real world. This means that I need to get an internship somewhere fancy so that I can be ready to get a big job next April. Problem: I don't know where I want to get my internship. I could go somewhere like New York which would be AMAZING, yet scary and far away from...everyone. I could also move and work in Nashville and live with Marcy, Taylor, Tiffany, and Rachael! But again that is far away. My other option is to stay in Provo and work here. The benefit of doing this would be that I could take some classes over Spring and Summer terms and get a few more credit in under my belt. Which brings me to my next problem: I want to take more classes than I have room for in my class schedules! Some of the classes I'm looking at are:
-beginning playwriting
-advanced dramaturgy
-contemporary performance practices
-intermediate makeup
-costume design
-stage management
-beginning sewing
-nonprofit grant writing
-props
-play review
-set construction
(not to mention any of the classes that are required for my major or my degree!)
The only way I could possibly take more and graduate on time is to take classes over Spring/Summer. I am in quite a pickle, indeed. And that is where my topic title comes in: "What to do?!"

2008 Revelations

I stole this from one of my friend's blogs that I follow. I thought it was a fun and simple way to review the last year.

In 2008 I LIVED:
1. Glenwood, The Condo, and another condo...
2. In Portland with my precious nephew.
3. On the edge...

In 2008 the best books I LEAFED through were:
1. Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert .
2. Son of a Witch by Gregory McGuire
3. The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman

In 2008 and for the first time in my LIFE I:
1. saw a glimpse of what it is like to have children (or at least one child).
2. actually enjoyed being in Provo, and missed it when I was gone.
3. traveled to California!

In 2008 I discovered that I LOVED:
1. Sushi.
2. bubble tea.
3. blogging.

In 2008 the best songs I LISTENED to were:
1. You Don't Know Me by Ben Folds & Regina Spektor.
2. Be OK by Ingrid Michaelson.
3. Living Room by Tegan & Sara.

In 2008 I still LIKED:
1. what I want to do with my life
2. staying up late.
3. visiting my friends from home - how I love them!

In 2008 I LOOKED:
1. like Mrs. Peacock.
2. up most of the time.
3. for the little things to make me happy.

In 2008 I LOST:
1. friends.
2. trust in people I believed in.
3. track of time - all the time.

In 2008 I LEARNED:
1. that people are not perfect.
2. that growing up is inevitable.
3. how amazingly supportive my family is in me.
4. honesty is the most important piece in any relationship.

My Christmas Wish List

Printer iPod New cell phone: My screen is cracked - Thanks to Ari! :)
Friends: I only need seasons 1,2,4,6, and 10 to complete the series!!
I know...this is kinda a lame list. I just don't know what I want this year, which is strange.
